Located in south Asia, Pakistan is unique land with rich culture, hard working people, and beautiful views.  Pakistan became independent on 14th august 1947.  Pakistan shares borders with India in the east, china in the northeast Iran in the southwest and Afghanistan in the northern-west

Urdu is the country's national language while English is extensively used in offices and commercial circles. Other regional languages include Punjabi, Pashto, Sindhi and Balochi.

Pakistan has four provinces – Punjab, Sindh, Sirhad (North West Frontier) and Balochistan.  Balochistan is the largest province and Punjab being most populated.  In 2000 the Pakistan’s total population was 140,000,000.  Pakistan is a hot country with temperature between 25 0C to 45 0C depending on the place. In 1998-1999 when Pakistan carried out nuclear test, the temperatures even raised up to 52 0C. 

The capital of Pakistan is Islamabad with area of 906.5 KM.  Islamabad enjoys pleasant climate with maximum average being 16.7 0C and minimum 3.4 0C in the winter and 34.2 0C and 24.4 0C in the summer.  The landmark of the city includes: Parliament, Aiwan-e-Sadr (Presidency), State Bank Complex, Building, Secretariat Blocks, Rawal Lake and Faisal Mosque.
